Please read our sales policy and make sure that you agree with everything in it before contacting us about one of our rabbits. Thank You!
I didn’t want to make a huge Sales Policy, but lately I have found this really is a necessity. Please read this before contacting me regarding purchasing a rabbit. If it is evident that you didn’t read this before contacting me, I may ignore your email. Sorry. - First and Foremost: Breeding and showing rabbits is a hobby for our family. We are not obligated to sell anyone any of our animals. We reserve the right to cancel a sale at any time if we feel that the buyer will not be an appropriate owner of one of our bunnies. We raise our rabbits from birth and they are part of our family.
- Price: I price animals individually based on their quality, their lines, and past breeding/show performance. I don’t have a “minimum” show or brood animal price. Therefore, I do not know what the price of a baby rabbit will be. If they are not old enough for me to evaluate their quality, then I don't know how much they will be, or if I will be offering them for sale.
- Age of Rabbits: I never sell rabbits less than 10 weeks of age. If a junior has the potential to be show quality, we will hang on to them longer before making the decision whether to keep or sell them. I usually keep the best couple of bunnies out of a litter until they are at least 4 months old. I do sometimes have pets available as juniors, but never before 10 weeks.
- Delivery/Pick-up: I no longer meet people at my house to pick up rabbits. Sorry, but I am following the lead of many other rabbit breeders in this crazy world where Animal Rights Radicals are a scary reality. I feel this is in the best interests of keeping my animals and my home safe. I will be glad to meet you at any rabbit show I am planning on attending. I am also willing to meet you in a parking lot at one of our local grocery stores, pet stores, etc. We have a lot of malls and shopping centers in our area, so finding a common meeting place will not be difficult. I also travel occasionally and can meet you somewhere along my route.
- Holding Rabbits: I will hold rabbits up to a week without a deposit. Any longer than a week, I require a 50% Non-refundable deposit. Without this deposit, I will sell the rabbit on a first come, first served basis, as long as I feel the perspective buyer will give my bunny a good home.
- Waiting List: I no longer have a waiting list. Too many people have asked to be on the waiting list without a serious commitment. I'm sorry to all those that this is an inconvenience to, but I feel that this is the best outcome to a problem I've been encountering. If you're interested in a junior from a certain breeding, please continue to check our website. I update it on a weekly basis and will post at least descriptions, and possibly pictures depending on my schedule, of any rabbits that we have for sale.
- Requesting Babies: Please do not try to place an order. I can make an educated guess as to what varieties are possible in a particular pairing based on their colors, the colors in their backgrounds, and what they have already produced. However, I cannot guarantee that I will have a specific variety in either sex. IE: If I breed a Himalayan Netherland Dwarf to a Black, chances are I'm going to get Himalayans, Blacks, Blues, or some other possible colors. Just because I'm making a guess about what colors are going to come from a breeding, doesn't mean that I'm going to have a Siamese Sable Doe for sale when the litter is old enough. I can't put in an order with Mother Nature for you. If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know, I would love to be able to change the weather!
- Health Guarantee: I am not responsible for a disease or accident a rabbit may experience once it leaves my care. Rest assured that my animals are well-cared for. They receive regular de-worming and the highest quality feed and hay available. Also note that I have never had somebody purchase a rabbit and then have any sort of health issue with it. This said, I will guarantee the health of a rabbit for three days once it leaves my barn, barring the fact that a veterinarian will put in writing that the animal had an illness prior to your purchase. Please take your rabbit to the vet at your discretion as I do not reimburse any kind of veterinary fees.
- Rabbit Rescue: We are NOT a rabbit rescue!! Please do not contact me to find out if I will take in your unwanted animal. My best advice would be to find a rabbit rescue or contact whoever or wherever you bought your rabbit from. I work with perspective buyers of my bunnies to make sure that they are ready to make a 10-year commitment to their future pet. I have limited space for my rabbits and, under no circumstance, will I take an unknown rabbit in. I work very hard to eliminate diseases in my herd and will not take the risk of introducing something.
- Pet Rabbits: Pet rabbits come with a birth certificate and are sold with the agreement that they will not be bred. A rabbit is deemed as "Pet Quality" if they have a blemish that would be a disqualification from the show table. This includes white spots on the coat, white toenails, or a color that isn't recognized/showable. When I first got started in rabbits in 1996, one of the breeders that had taken the role of my mentor told me that there is no such thing as a bad rabbit. Any rabbit can make a good pet, but not every rabbit is cut out for the show table. As previously stated, I will not sell any rabbit at less than 10 weeks of age. Be aware that rabbits can live longer than some dogs! It is not uncommon for a rabbit to live 7 to 10 years. If, at any time, you find that you can no longer care for your pet rabbit for whatever reason, I require that it be returned to me. I do not want my rabbits ending up in shelters and adding to the population problem, so please contact me if you are in this position. I prefer to sell bucks as pets because does can become territorial and moody when they reach maturity. Once you've bought a rabbit from us, your part of our extended rabbit family. Please do not hesitate to shoot us an e-mail with any questions you may have regarding your new bunny, no matter how "stupid" you think it is (There is no such thing as a stupid question, anyway!!). I can also provide references from bunny lovers that have bought rabbits from me.
- Lastly: As previously stated, our "Rabbit Habit" is our hobby and passion. We take the utmost care of our animals and love them dearly. We love to talk about our bunnies! So, if you ever have any questions (health-related, breeding-related, etc.) or just want to send us a picture of one of our bunnies at your house, please send us an e-mail at clover_patch_rabbitry@hotmail.com. We love to hear about how our bunnies are doing in their new homes!
If you do not agree with some part of the above, please do not inquire about purchasing one of my animals. Thank you.
