  Basic Information

Netherland Dwarf rabbits are the smallest breed recognized by the American Rabbit Breeders Association. They are often called the Gem of the Fancy. They come in a wide variety of colors. The varieties of Netherlands are classified into Groups. There are five groups; Self, Shaded, Agouti, Tan and All Other Varieties (AOV). The Self group contains Black, Blue, Chocolate, Lilac, Blue Eyed White and Ruby Eyed White. The Shaded group includes Sable Point, Siamese Sable, and Siamese Smoke Pearl. Chestnut, Chinchilla, and Steel are grouped under Agouti. The Tan group contain Martens, Otters and Opal. The AOV group contains those varieties which don't fit into the other groups.
